IMPROVE THE WAY YOU COOK
February’s Harvest
We welcome February, the second month of the year, and we fill up our basket with just as many fruits and vegetables as we did last month.
In February’s orchard grow our favorite citruses, tangerines, oranges, red apples for our fragrant apple pies, as well as, fresh lemons with a yellow so bright that it shines through the lemon trees’ green leaves.
When it comes to veggies, we’re full of mushrooms, black mustard, celery and carrots – let’s not forget that rich and creamy carrot cake that haunts us on a daily basis forcing us to open the refrigerator door just to take a sneak peek. Lest not forget that dark green broccoli that promises flavor and health to our plate and body, especially if we elevate it with some lemon drops from those bright yellow lemons. And there are so many more fresh vegetables waiting to fill our basket and kitchen with aromas.
And even though February is one of the coldest months of the year the fragrant produce that will fill our kitchen will make our home feel the warmth of the spring time!
So, let’s go fill our basket with the fruit and vegetables of this month:
